Item no. 10
Wild poppy seeds
If I had to choose a flower to represent my childhood, it would undoubtedly be the poppy. Every spring, the entire region is flooded with these red flowers, creating a sea of red as far as the eye can see. They don't have a special scent and can't be made into bouquets due to their fragility, but the vast fields of poppies contrasting with blue sea bring back happy memories for me, as this flower has always symbolised the arrival of spring. The baker in our neighbourhood uses the seeds of wild poppies to decorate bread. Panting poppy seeds couldn't be easier. You can just scatter them in spring or autumn. To increase your success rate prepare the soil and choose a sunny spot - but there is no need to cover or rake them
